Welcome back to the Academy and a special welcome to all our new pupils.
Congratulations to Jodie Lawson, Emily Ponsonby Way, Molly Buck, Freya Clarke, Ella Lathan Allen and Scarlet Yates who will be joining Sussex Youth Ballet for their upcoming performance in 2014. Good Luck!
Don’t forget to let us know if you are not returning to classes this term to avoid being chased for fees.
Please keep an eye on the Notice Board as important information will be posted from time to time.
Information about auditions and events are posted on the door of the Small Studio.
SUMMER TERM DATES
Summer term starts: Mon 15th April
Half term: Mon 27th May – Sat 1st Jun
Summer term ends: Sat 20th July
NB. Due to exams and Street Dance Showcase classes will run as normal on Mon. 6th May (Bank Holiday)

EXAMS
Tap & Modern Exams: Wed. 10th & Thurs. 11th July
Ballet Exams: Wed. 17th & Thurs. 18th July
Please see Notice Board after Half Term for your exact
date and time.
If you are taking an exam, please inform the office or speak
directly to the teacher if you know you are going to be absent
from any lessons.
STREET DANCE SHOWCASE
This will be held at Patcham High School on SATURDAY 13th JULY between 1.30pm – 5.30pm.
More details to follow. If you are interested in taking up Street Dance from September, please come and watch the performance. Tickets £6 on the door.
UNIFORM
For all Primary to Grade 2 Ballet pupils – please purchase ballet socks and get used to wearing them as ballet socks must be worn in the exam.
To all exam pupils – please purchase the correct uniform. Shoe fitting for Ballet exams will take place on Saturday 18th May, Tuesday 21st May and Thursday 23rd May. Please make a note of these dates and allow extra time after class for shoe fitting.
RECEPTION
Our receptionists are on duty each day from 3.30pm - 6.30pm, plus Saturday mornings from 8.30am – 12.45pm.
They will always make sure the door is properly closed when they leave.
Having said this, please take care of your valuables when coming to class. If you have iphones etc. please switch them off and take them into class with you. Studio Telephone no: 01273 688991
PARENTS WATCHING
Due to exams not all classes will be open to watching.
Tuesday 9th July: Miss Kirsty ~ Pre School Dance Movement & Reception classes only
Monday 15th July: Miss Kerry’s classes only
Tuesday 16th July: Miss Lacey ~ Pre Primary Ballet & Grade 1 Ballet 5.45 – 6.30pm only
Wednesday 17th & Thursday 18th July: NO WATCHING DUE TO EXAMS
Friday 19th July: Miss Lacey’s classes only
Saturday 20th July: Miss Lacey’s classes only
If there are any Year 1 or Year 2 pupils wanting to try out tap (Mondays 4.00 – 4.45pm) then you are invited to TWO FREE TRIAL CLASSES. Please call the office to book.
