Welcome back to the start of our new Spring Term.

We are delighted to announce the safe arrival of Miss Katie’s twin girls – Amelie Rose weighing 6lb 6oz & Lucia Mary 6lb 5oz – born on 12 November 2009.

Congratulations to Sorelle Poku, Ruby Phelan and Eden Panayi for their success in getting into Peter Pan at The Theatre Royal.

Also, some of our senior girls are taking part in the Godalming Dance Festival. We will let you know the dates once they have been finalised. We wish them well. If anyone would like to go to Godalming to watch the girls then please call the office as we are going to try to arrange transport.

Please check your invoices carefully as there are a number of timetable changes.

Spring Term Dates
Spring term begins: Mon 4th Jan
Half term: Mon 15th - Sat 20th February
Spring term ends: Sat 3rd April

Exam Dates
These will be on Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd April. There will be extra Exam classes and it is important that children attend all of these unless previously discussed with Penny. Good luck to you all!

FEES
I appreciate that long standing members of the academy have perhaps been used to a more relaxed approach to fee collection in the past. It is important that fee collection runs as smoothly as possible and does not create excessive administration due to people ignoring invoices and reminders. From now on once overdue letters have been sent and contact made by phone, a firm letter will be sent to all those whose fees remain outstanding. This is not intended to offend, but to remind people that contact is essential if you are having difficulties in paying your fees.
Please be careful not add the £10 credit charge if you are paying within the due date.
Thank you.

UNIFORM
All Modern, Ballet & Tap pupils must now start to wear correct uniform to all classes as it can become difficult at exam times to monitor whether pupils will be correctly groomed on the day.

SAFETY REMINDER
I appreciate that the waiting area is small and parents may need to sit on the stairs. However please can parents and pupils alike be helpful and move when pupils are heading for or leaving the upstairs studio.

AND FINALLY
It is extremely important that nobody double parks whilst leaving their vehicle unattended. We have had many, understandable, complaints from our neighbours regarding this issue and I cannot stress highly enough the need to totally respect the residents of Howard Road at all times.

We wish you all a fun and fabulous term at the Academy!
